Accessing PSAT Scores (for 8th grade parents)
The College Board has decided to not issue paper copies of the score reports from the PSAT. Instead, each student should have received an email from College Board with instructions on how to access their individual score from the PSAT test in October. If they did not receive an email, parents can go to collegeboard.org and create an account to access their scores. Once an account is created, they can see the scores, and also view the exact questions that their child missed on the test.
Week of December 14, 2020
Continue being diligent about wearing your mask to school each day. By following this safety protocol, we are able to avoid exposure to viruses, which allows students and teachers to remain in school. This is an important step in getting back to normal. You have done a great job. Now, keep up the good work.

3rd Six Weeks - Academic Focus
Teachers are continuing to plan and deliver rigorous instruction on a daily basis. Attendance each day is crucial to keeping up with the pace. Students are encouraged to show personal responsibility and individual determination by completing all class work to their very best ability, and to take advantage of a number of support programs on campus. Some are listed below. Parents can monitor student grades and register for notifications in the Tyler ISD Parent Portal.
- Welcome back to our new Face-to-Face Learners! All students should plan to attend morning tutorials from 7:45-8:20 each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. No appointment required.
- Students learning @home may continue to participate in weekly virtual tutorials. Times are posted in your Canvas classes.
- Students using Canvas for the first time. Click here for a Canvas tutorial.
Mustang Round Up
In this academic support program, students will participate in intervention and extension activities each Monday, during the second half of first period.
FLEX
On Wednesday, December 2, students must return their progress report with a parent signature. Students with a 73 and above in all classes may participate in an activity during the last period of the day. Students with any grades below a 73 will be given an opportunity to work directly with their teacher for extra assistance.
BUG Goals
This stands for "Bring Up Grades". Along with their mentor teacher, students set goals for the upcoming grade reporting period. Students who meet their academic goals will be able to participate in a College Colors Jeans Day on select Fridays.
