Hello Hoover
September 22th, 2023
B - Schedule Week
Hello Hawk families,
We’ve reached the halfway point in the first nine weeks. This means that in three weeks (October 17, 2023), report cards will be accessible on Focus. As an administrative team, we reviewed our discipline and academic data and here are a few reminders we shared with students during morning announcements:
- Students are expected to walk in the hallways, rather than running.
- Students are expected to arrive to class on time.
- Students are encouraged to check their grades on Focus and turn in any missing or late assignments.
Please continue to help us reinforce these expectations at home, and do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. All students who earned only As and Bs in their report card will receive an Honor Roll certificate and will be recognized as a group during morning announcements.
Thursday, September 28 – Our Hawks will face Stone Middle School during a special home basketball game. This game will include two new types of concessions!
- Sweet Treats is a local ice cream truck that gives students with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to practice social skills. All the tips donated during the game will be used to support our students with intellectual disabilities’ annual trip to the Brevard Zoo. Ice cream prices range from $2 - $5.
- · Crumbl Cookies – The Hoover Mentoring Program will be selling Crumbl Cookies for $5 each, to raise funds for their program. Special thanks to the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) students who volunteered to run our Crumbl Cookies table! Tips are welcome!
