The Greendell Gosling Flyer-22nd Ed

February 10, 2021

Dear Greendell Families,

It has been a busy month so far at our school. The children are celebrating their friends and families and creating lots of heart shaped art! Our Palo Alto community is actively engaged in the 21 Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge. I spend time every evening reading, watching and reflecting on the topics presented. It is not too late to join in this critical equity work!

Our Greendell community has been active in the effort to speak out against the use of Cubberley by PG&E for a natural gas pipeline inspection station. For more information, please visit PAUSD's website here.

Our Greendell School Site Council has been hard at work creating a survey for families on the Social Emotional Learning of our students. You can find the survey below and we would really appreciate your participation.

I hope you all have time to relax over the three day weekend and that it is filled with lots of hugs and love!

Greendell School Site Council Adds a Social Emotional Goal

Our Greendell School Site Council met to finalize our school's goals for this year. After reviewing the annual goals, the site council felt strongly about adding a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) goal for our students. Below is the SEL goal that was developed as a result of those discussions:

Focus on student and family connectedness in our Greendell School community. Provide students with social emotional learning that builds a school culture that is positive and supportive for all students and their families.

In order to measure our progress on this important goal, we adapted a survey for our families to complete now and at the end of the school year. Please help us by completing the SEL survey here.

Thank you so very much!
