SHS Spotlight

September 6, 2021

Welcome Back!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 7, is our first day of school for the 2021-2022 school year!. School starts at 8:10, so students should be in their classrooms and ready to go at 8:05. Please see below for more information regarding drop-off and pick-up times.

Drop-off and Pick-up Reminders

As noted previously, we will continue to ask parents to remain outside at drop-off and pick-up times. The exception to this will be for new students; parents may walk them to their classroom the first couple of days if they would like. Parents entering the building are reminded to sign in at the door.

Students do not have to enter and exit by separate doors; all students may use the main doors.

Also, there is no supervision available in the morning prior to 7:45 a.m.; teachers who are here early are generally finalizing preparation for the day. Please do not drop your children off prior to 7:45 a.m. If this is problematic for you, please contact Mrs. Miron to discuss options.

Finally, please help us keep everyone safe by not parking in the bus zone in front of the school between the two sidewalks. We have multiple buses who park there in both the morning and the afternoon.

Goodies with Grandparents

We warmly invite all grandparents to join us on Monday, September 13, for Goodies with Grandparents. We will begin at 8:10 a.m. with prayer in the main hallway of the school. Then each class will enjoy pastries and juice (coffee for the adults) in their classrooms with their grandparents.

All visitors to the school are reminded they must log in and out when arriving and leaving the building.

Mascot Mondays Return!

Mascot Mondays, a favorite day around here, are back starting next Monday, September 13. Students may opt to wear SHS Cardinals spirit wear in lieu of their uniform. Pants/shorts/skirts must be school appropriate; see the 2021-2022 handbook for further clarification.
