Week 6:Our work has continued over this past week.
We have circled up with students that have had issues to help to work them through the process of reconciliation and resolve. Unfortunately, a handful of our students have remained at the top of the list of behavior referrals. We are continuing to create and revise individualized plans for those kids.
PBIS update: The Tiogue PBIS Team met on Thursday to begin the process of refreshing and revising our program at the school. This work continues behind the scenes and we will meet again on October 25th this month. Faculty will get an update at our mtg. on 10/17.
We have scheduled the R.O.A.R. Show (Respect Other, Act Responsibly) for Monday, October 22nd in the afternoon. K-2 will attend the show at 1pm and gr. 3-5 will attend the 2pm show that day. More info to follow.
See Behavior Specialist area above. Kim has been working hard to update our documents and forms. A Tiogue Behavior Form Google Shared Folder has been set up with the latest information. Kim has the referral folder system in place on her office door.
Some faculty and staff asked about extending our Start With Hello work-
Like I had expressed at our first meeting of the school year, PBIS, Conscious Discipline, Restorative Practices, SEL, Start With Hello, all link up nicely together - their philosophies have a common thread can be found tying all programs together.
So, the short answer is, YES! Keep the work moving forward, and share your ideas.
We can post them to this section of the newsletter.
Here is a nice video on YouTube that Alicia from Blackrock shared with her faculty/staff:
Nurse's Corner of important information
INFORMATION:
Friday 10/12/18 Dr. Gordon has been rescheduled to December 7th.
Flu Clinic Information and
RIDE and OSHA require all teachers to complete a Universal precaution (required), and Epi Pen (not required, but encouraged) training yearly. I will be reviewing both of these at our orientation.
For Universal Precautions:
Here is the training on RIDE where you can read through and print a certificate of completion. This is REQUIRED bloodborne pathogens training. Please sign the certificate of completion and turn it into me. I am required to keep a record of completion.

For Epi Pen:
Here is the link to the Epi Pen video, please cut and paste in your browser. It reviews sign and symptoms of anaphylaxis (life threatening allergy), and shows you how to administer an Epi Pen.
