MLC News

From Alexa
I have short newsletter tonight. I promised my own family that I would be home early today after working lots of late nights this week. As always the work/life balance can be challenging:)
Students did a great job transitioning back to a 5-day week this week. We are nearing the end of our semester, which ends January 26th, so we have been busy! Remember that next week is a four-day week with no school on Monday. We will start up on Tuesday with the Parent Racial Equity Meeting on Tuesday at 6:00 (RSVP here) and then the film Screenagers on Wednesday at 6:00 (see PTSA website for more info). We'd love to have you at these events. The more we learn, the more we can support our children.
Have a lovely weekend,
Alexa

Bring Water Bottles!
Please encourage students to bring water bottles to school. Students have been going through the small paper cups at the water dispensers rather than using a water bottle. We want students to be healthy and drink lots of water while also being aware of the environment.
Attendance at MLC
We ask that you always call 503-916-3656 for reporting an absence for your student. Please notify us of every day or partial day that your student is absent, and give the reason (the state of Oregon requires a reason in our absence reporting).
Attendance is a critical part of a student's success at school and there has been ample research to support the connection between school attendance and graduation. Let us know if you need support in getting your student to school.
