To the Bonsall West Elementary Community,

It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as your new principal of Bonsall West Elementary. I look forward to getting to know each of you as we work together to continue the long-standing tradition of pride and excellence at Bonsall West. I have a strong belief that education has the power to transform communities by including parents and the community at large as meaningful partners in education. My commitment to enhancing every student’s educational experience is demonstrated by my continued learning and dedication to making decisions that positively affect students’ lives. As a dynamic, passionate, principle-driven leader, I look forward to continuing to work alongside the enthusiastic educators of Bonsall West Elementary School.

I was inspired to become an educator because of a music teacher who showed a special interest in me, challenged me, and held me accountable, but also gave me the needed support to help me be successful. After 10 years of serving as a classroom teacher and taking on school leadership positions, mentors encouraged me to enter school administration. I come to you with over a decade of combined assistant principal and principal administrative experience, and have served in both elementary and secondary school settings in Oceanside and Valley Center - Pauma school districts.

I look forward to learning more about each one of our students, their families, and our staff over the course of the coming year. I bring to Bonsall West Elementary my dedication, care, and drive to be the best each day for our community.

I was raised in Lemon Grove, here within San Diego County, and currently live in Oceanside. I have two older children, Frankie Larissa (30), Dominic Jr. (28), and grandsons Zayden and Jude. My wife Krista and I have Diego (10) and Daisy (6). They are an incredibly supportive family.

• Wednesday, August 16th - First Day of School

• TK/K school day - 8:15 AM-2:35 PM

• Grades 1st-6th school day - 8:15 AM-2:45 PM

• Front gate opens at 7:45 AM

• Back Gate Opens at 7:55 AM

• Running Club & Reading Room begins at 7:55 AM

• Early Release Fridays: TK/K 1:05 PM; Grades 1st - 6th 1:15 PM

• Drop Off & Pick Up Remains the Same

Also, please save the dates:

• Labor Day is Monday, September 4th - No School

• Back-To-School Night is Thursday, August 24

• 4:30 PM MPR

• 5:00 PM Classrooms
