Senior Focus Day at Farwell High School
Surrounding school seniors participated in Senior Focus Day (hosted here at FHS) on the morning of September 27. This was an opportunity to meet with various professionals and program directors to explore post-secondary options. Prior to the event, they worked with Mrs. Rohdy on their EDP's and Talent Portfolios. Students who are Tuition Incentive Program (TIP) eligible were able to complete the registration process for free college tuition.
Also to note on the calendar, CareerQuest is approaching for all 8th -10th graders and all CTE students. It will be held on October 30 at Saginaw Valley State University. This field trip is an interactive, hands-on career and college-readiness event. For more information, go to https://www.michiganworks.com/introducing-micareerquest-middle-michigan/.
“Vaping among high school students increased by 78% from 2017 to 2018, and rose by 48% among middle school students during that same time period, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).”
