MKS News - October 2022

Wishing you PEACE & JOY this month!

Big picture

We have been blessed to partner with Joy in Haiti for many years, connected to the work they are doing there!

Joy in Haiti is a local ministry that supports the work being done through Pastor Brisenault and his wife Joseline in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in the following ministries there:

- House of Joy orphanage for 20+ girls

- New Christian School of Tabarre

- New Christian Church of Tabarre

- Music ministry

- Sewing café that provides skills and income for Haitians

We had the privilege of leading faith-based summer dance camps there in 2017 & 2018. Due to the unrest in Haiti, we unfortunately have been unable to safely return to continue that work in-person.

For the time being, the best ways that we can support everyone there is to:

  • PRAY for all Haitians, their government, and for God to bring peace somehow.
  • GIVE so that those in the orphanage, school, church, and other ministries will have their personal needs met along with equipping them to serve God well!

In August, we were able to sit down with Pastor Brisenault from Haiti and discuss what life is like in Haiti right now. To learn more about how you can PRAY for the people of Haiti, see the videos we will be sharing through our Facebook page in the coming weeks.

Also, if you would like to GIVE, please help us fill up Penelope the Pig at MKS! All donations put in Penelope go directly to Joy in Haiti to help provide basic necessities to those in need.

This week you can invite your friends or be our friend and join you for a fun and free dance class at MKS!

Requirements: Friends do not have to be in dress code, but we do ask that students are the right age for a class in order to participate.

This is also a GREAT time for current MKS dancers to try an additional class or two on us!

Please contact the MKS Front Desk beforehand to set up your class day and time! Or stop by the Front Desk before class!

Dance is for EVERYONE at MKS & on this Baseball Team??

The Bananas have something for everyone: “The World’s Slowest Race” featuring crawling toddlers; The Banana Nanas, a senior dance squad; The Man-anas, dad-bod cheerleaders; The Banana Splitz, a pre-teen dance squad; and the newest addition, “Dancing with the Bananas”, a dance competition featuring six players and six ballerinas from Savannah Ballet Theatre. Not only are there opportunities for fan involvement but also significant participation from the players. Read more here...
