January Edition

Happy New Year!

Hello CAP Families. We hope everyone had a healthy and happy winter break. The Elementary School Team is excited to have our CAP Bruins back in school and look forward to resuming our academic routine. The New Year allows students to return to school with new goals and a new focus that will motivate them to be successful the remainder of the school year. As stated by Vern McLellan, "what the new year's brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the new year."

Setting a new year's resolution? Make it a SMART goal!

S- specific: make sure you know what actions need to be taken to achieve a goal. Ask yourself who, what, why, where, and when?

M- measurable: make sure your goal is something that you can accurately track and measure

A- attainable: don't set yourself a goal that you aren't going to be able to reach

R- relevant: make sure this goal aligns with broader goals you might have

T- timely: make sure you set an appropriate time frame for the goal

Making a SMART goal is a great way to become one step closer to achieving your goals!
