Veteran's Day Parade
Veteran's Day Parade
We would like to celebrate any family, friends and neighbors you have that have served in our country! Please invite them to participate in our FCE Veteran's Day Parade. Veterans are invited to decorate their cars and line up in our main parking lot (see picture below) starting at 8:30. We will begin our parade around 8:45 or as soon as we get all of our students to the parade area. We will then lead the cars to the parade area for them to drive thru and be celebrated!!!
Turkey Trot
We will be having our Annual Turkey Trot again this year on Friday, November 18th during each grade levels specials time. We welcome parents to join us and ask that you enter through the side gate by the portables. We will have a check in table set up just like we did for our Boosterthon Fun Run. Please bring your ID so we can check you in!
Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes, brings a water bottle and wear the color designated for your child's teacher (see colors below)!
Lost and Found
We can tell that we've had some cold weather because our Lost and Found is starting to fill up with jackets and coats! Please take a moment when you are on campus to stop by and look to see if any of your child's lost items are there! We do our best to look for names on items and deliver those back to students. If the item doesn't have a name on it, it goes into the lost and found. We will probably clean out the lost and found when everyone leaves for Thanksgiving Break. This will give students and families and opportunity on Conference Day (Nov. 1st) and Thanksgiving Feast Days to look for lost items. Items that have not been claimed by then will be donated. Parents feel free to check in a the front office any morning and go check the lost and found it needed!
Parent Conferences and Humble ISD Literacy Assessments
As you meet with teachers in K-5, you should be hearing how your student did on our Humble ISD Literacy Assessment. Please check out this Literacy Assessment Video for more information on the assessment and parent report. Your child's teacher should be able to answer any questions you have about the assessment and how we use the information gathered through the assessment to guide our classroom and small group instruction.
