Shawn Carter Foundation (The Jay-Z Scholarship)

Eligibility Requirements



· Students pursuing their first undergraduate degree:

o High school seniors

o Students with GED diplomas

o Students enrolled in 2-year or 4-year undergraduate programs

o Students enrolled in vocational or trade schools

· US citizen or Permanent Resident

· 25 years old or younger

· Minimum 2.0 GPA

· Household income not exceeding $75,000 USD

Superintendent's Scholarship - DUE April 28th

$1,000 to one senior at a RCPS high school; sponsored by the RCPS Foundation. To apply, a student must be a 2023 graduate in a Rockdale County public school, have been admitted to a college or technical school for the 2023-24 school year, not have received over $2500 in scholarships from other sources, and complete an application, including the essay portion. Three judges read and score the essays.


The applicant with the highest cumulative score from each school is chosen to receive this scholarship. Application is due on April 28, 2023, and scholarships are awarded in May. For more information, contact cball@rockdale.k12.ga.us.

Bryan Cameron Education Foundation

Applications for the Class of 2024 * Current Juniors

The Cameron Impact Scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition, impact-driven undergraduate scholarship awarded annually to 10-15 exceptional high school students who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, community service, extracurricular activities, and academics. The Cameron Impact Scholar is unique among their peers in their desire to directly impact their communities and in the world at large. Our Scholar aspires to contribute to positive forces for change and plans to tailor their education to that end. The Cameron Impact Scholarship covers the full tuition, fees, and books at any accredited U.S. based college or university that the recipient chooses to attend.

As a merit-based program, the Cameron Impact Scholarship is open to all applicants who meet the GPA and citizenship requirements, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation or any other background factors. We are looking for young leaders with demonstrated passion and commitment to any variety of positive impact.

Gunn Law Group Trusting Yourself 2023 Scholarship

At Gunn Law Group, we believe that when making these big decisions, it is essential to trust yourself throughout this process. We want to know from students how they overcame the anxiety of these decisions and made their choice. Two winners of this scholarship will receive an award of $1,500. In 750-1000 words, tell us how you tackled anxiety and uncertainty in a stressful situation with a difficult choice and learned to trust yourself in the process.


To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must email their full application (including the essay, resumé, and transcript) to hgunn@thegunnlawgroup.com by May 31st 2023. Any applications sent after this date will not be considered.

The Young Ambassadors Program (YAP) is a nationally recognized program for graduating high school seniors that fosters the next generation of community-conscious Latino leaders in the arts, sciences, and humanities via the Smithsonian Institution and its resources.

Phil Bennett Memorial Scholarship - DUE May 29th

The Georgia Collectors Association offers up to $1,500 in scholarship(s) each year divided among selected qualifying candidate(s). This scholarship is offered to high school seniors, college students, or those attending vocational training.


Applicants must write an original essay (minimum of 1,000 words) on the
“The Importance of Credit to a Young Person.”

New Birth Missionary Baptist Church Scholarship

$1000 - $5000 scholarships, variable amount; for members of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church who have completed a New Members class; for high school graduates or GED/HS Equivalency certified students applying to a post-secondary college, university or technical program for the first time.

Springfield Baptist Church Almond James Turner Scholarship

$2,500 awarded to graduating high school seniors in Rockdale and Newton counties; reoccurring scholarship up to 5 years. Applicants do not need to be a member of Springfield Baptist Church to apply; open to the community.


Applicants must be accepted and enrolled as a full-time student at a two-year or four-year post-secondary institution. Application requires essay (see application link for the two-part essay question); transcript (current GPA of 3.0 or higher, and 3.0 or higher must be maintained while enrolled); demonstrated spiritual leadership qualities and documented community service experience; letter of recommendation from teacher or staff member of their current school or community member; resume which includes list of academic awards and recognitions, a list of extracurricular activities, including church-related activities; and college acceptance letter. Application deadline is May 9.

Applicants must be accepted and enrolled as a full-time student at a two-year or four-year post-secondary institution. Application requires essay (see application link for essay question), transcript (2.5 GPA or higher), demonstrated spiritual leadership qualities and documented community service experience, letter of recommendation from an academic reference (such as teacher or staff member from your school) or letter of recommendation from a personal reference (such as a mentor, clergy, family friend, etc), and their college acceptance letter.

Springfield Baptist Church Lucas Woods Jr. 'Do Your Rap' Scholarship

$1,000 awarded to a graduating high school senior. Must be a member of Springfield Baptist Church for at least 6 months. Applicants must be accepted and enrolled as a full-time student at a two-year or four-year post-secondary institution.


Application requires essay (see application link for three-part essay question); demonstrated positive impact and involvement in school, church and the community; letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, employer, community member, coach, club sponsor or individual with significant knowledge of applicant’s character and experience and involvement; college acceptance letter; and more. Buzzell, Welsh & Hill’s $2,500 College Scholarship Contest

$2,500 awarded to one student who can create a new driver education program or process that could work in your own town. Use text, video, graphics and other media to outline your curriculum, demonstrating how it’s better than the current approach. Brevity and clarity are best.


Your entry should take the judges only about 3 minutes to review. Applicants must currently attend or plan to attend an accredited United States college or university during the fall 2021 semester.


The deadline to apply is in May. The winner will be notified by email in May. The winner’s $2,500 scholarship award will be issued directly to a college or university financial aid office.

The BigSun Scholarship...2023




The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. In order to do our part we are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible regardless of the sport they are engaged in or the capacity in which they participate. The student must be a high school senior or be attending a post-secondary institute.

NAEHCY - National Assocation for the Education of Homeless Children & Youth

1. First Time Post-Secondary Student Scholarship, a scholarship value of $5,000, is awarded to at least three students who are under the age of 23 by September 1, 2023.


2. Back to School Support Scholarship, a scholarship value of $500, is awarded to three to four students who are prior NAEHCY scholars
