Greetings Laburnum Families,

We are looking forward to another exciting week at Laburnum! Please read below for important information.


Student Work Packet Distribution

Remember to get your child's bi-weekly learning packet on Tuesday, Oct. 20th. Packets will be available from 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Identify your child's grade level bin and pick one packet per Laburnum student.

If your child's grade level bin is empty, please ring the bell and someone will be available until 4:00 to make additional copies.

These learning packets are available for students to practice the skills that they are learning in class. The packets do not need to be returned to school.

HCPS Listening Town Hall

HCPS families, staff, and community members will have an opportunity to voice their thoughts about regarding the 2nd nine weeks of school at the HCPS Listening Town Hall on October, 20th 6:00 -8:00 PM.

To actively participate and provide input regarding school reopening, join the session at To observe the Listening Town Hall, use the livestream link that will appear shortly before the start of the event at The event will also be recorded for future viewing.

This event uses Microsoft Teams. No registration is required, participation is free and you can take part without creating a Teams account. For more information about using Microsoft Teams, go to and click on “Other Upcoming Events.”

PowerSchool Parent Portal

Have you created a Parent Portal account yet?!? If not, you're missing out on viewing important student information such as the upcoming quarter 1 interim grades and attendance. Creating an account will allow you see your child's grades at any point during the school year. Resources for Families to Support Virtual Learning

Library Books

We will have a bin located at the front of the building to return any library books you may have. You can return books Monday - Friday.

Breakfast & Lunch

Henrico County Public Schools will be providing breakfast and lunch free of charge to students at each school. Meals will be available curbside Monday thru Thursday ( Friday meals will be distributed on Thursday). The times are 7 AM - 9 AM and 11:30 AM- 1:30 PM.

If you choose to come 7 AM - 9 AM, students will receive a hot breakfast and cold lunch for the same day. If you come 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM, students will receive a hot lunch and cold breakfast for the following morning.

The county is also providing meal distribution by bus.

  • Mondays and Wednesdays: On Mondays, buses will distribute meals for Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesdays, breakfasts and lunches will be distributed for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, as well as Monday breakfast.
  • Buses will make 30-minute stops at each location, between 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
  • Laburnum has two stops:

Brookhill Road and Crenshaw Ave.
