Titan Staff News
Week of December 5
Titans,
Thank you for yet another fabulous week at Tidwell! As you can read below, we hosted several groups of visitors this week and they were impressed with our students and level of learning occurring in our classroom. Thank you for always striving to make Tidwell the best middle school in the state!
When we return from the Winter Break, our Assistant Principals will operate in an alphabet split for student discipline and other items. (ARDS, 504s, etc) After careful consideration of discipline data and workflow, I have determined this will provide an opportunity for our APs to work at a greater efficiency and be able to better support families, students and teachers. Each AP will remain the grade level AP, but when dealing with student issues, we will utilize the alphabet. There will be no changes to the TTESS appraisal lists. The split will occur as follows:
A - Gar - Gatlin
Gas - N - Parkman
O - Z - Pawski
Thank you for your understanding. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with your concerns or questions.
Have a great weekend,
Kim

Important Information
- It's Holiday Pep Rally Week! Each day, we'll be awarding a Takiest Teacher Spirit Award. So dig out the tinsel and blinking light necklaces...it's time to show our spirit! (Winner per grade level will be announced each day)
- Please remember to utilize email courtesy when using the "reply all" option in our emails. If you continuously do not hear the dismissal bells, please assign a student to monitor the time and let you know when class is almost over. Our bells ring the same time each day so by this time in the year, we should be astute at dismissing our classes on time. Your cooperation is much appreciated!
- Final Exams - Students are not allowed to complete their exams early. Any exams missed must be made up on Monday, Jan 2nd. Arrangements can be made with the grade level AP.
- January 2nd is a campus Staff Development day. A light breakfast will be provided. (Chick-fil-a) More details will follow prior to leaving for Winter Break.
- This past week we hosted the elementary and secondary curriculum coaches. This group walked classrooms to gather information on how we utilize technology integration on a daily basis. You all are a model for the district to follow! Thank you for giving our students this type learning environment! I am incredibly proud!
- Dr. Warren was very pleased with his campus visit this week! Job well done, Titans!
PLC Work
This week's PLCs will take place as a campus in our library on Monday morning. Please be prepared to begin your work as a PLC at 8:00 sharp. You don't want to be late!
We will meet in our content area groups. PLC leaders, please have a central location in the library where you group will meet to complete their work.
I will be providing the PLC task upon arrival.
