TxConnect is Now Ascender
ASCENDER has taken over with a few changes.
- The app for your cell phone no longer works. The company is working on creating another one.
- Until the app is created, you must go through the district website. www.lagovistaisd.net
- On the Main Page, go to Parent Connection, halfway down the page on the left.
- On new page, scroll down about halfway, look for Keeping Track of Grades. You will then click on the ASCENDER link.
- Log in like you normally did with TxConnect.
- If you have any questions or trouble, please call 512-267-8300 #2503.

Don't Mess With Texas K-12 Art Contest
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds;
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a disposable tissue or your arm/sleeve; and
- Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
As a reminder, it is Lago Vista ISD policy that students with a fever of 100 degrees or greater must stay out of school and not participate in after-school activities until they are fever-free for 24 hours without the aid of fever-reducing medication. Furthermore, students with diarrhea or vomiting must also stay home until they are symptom free without symptom-suppressing medications for at least 24 hours.
Taking these steps will help minimize the exposure of illnesses like the flu and the possibility of spreading them to students and staff who are not sick. Thank you for helping us create the safest and healthiest learning environments for the students and staff of Lago Vista ISD!

Counselor's Corner
Hello LVES Families! I am proud to announce that our school has been recognized as a “Kindness Certified School 2020” due to all of our students who participated in the Great Kindness Challenge! Congratulations to the winning classes for this year’s Great Kindness Challenge--100% of Mrs. Cook’s kindergarten class and 100% of Mrs. Jackson’s Pre-K class turned in their acts of kindness checklists! Each student has received a Lago Vista Character Award and a free kids meal certificate for Mighty Fine! Way to spread kindness kindergarteners and pre-k’ers!! Thank You all again for supporting this Project Vinátta/No Place for Hate activity! Stay tuned for our next Project Vinátta activity--members of our student coalition will perform a skit called, “Start With Hello” at an assembly in March!
“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.” ~Princess Diana
~Princesa Diana
