Tyngsborough Elementary School
October 16, 2016
This week, Superintendent Don Ciampa retires. Tyngsborough Public Schools was fortunate enough to hire Don in 1978. He’s held many important positions during his tenure. Teacher, coach, department head, principal, technology director, and superintendent. As Superintendent, Don has always been visible throughout the district each and every day. He could be seen in the cafeteria engaged in a conversation with students, teaching a math lesson, or on the playgrounds at TES. Don’s connections with the students and staff of Tyngsborough epitomize the wonderful contribution he has made.
Tyngsborough is beyond fortunate to have been led by Don's expertise, work ethic and commitment. Mr. Ciampa has left a remarkable legacy behind and one which will remain with us for years to come. He is leaving Tyngsborough Public Schools a better place than when he found it, and that in itself, will remain a lasting tribute to his ambitious goals and hard work.We will miss our colleague, a mentor, a visionary, a leader and indeed a friend.

Halloween Extravaganza - Friday, 10/28
Halloween Extravaganza
This year, TES will provide the opportunity for students and staff to wear costumes on Friday, October 28th - Halloween! In order to make the day a success, we have developed a few guidelines.
Most importantly, all costumes must be school appropriate.
All students participating must come to school dressed in their costumes -- no getting ready in the building. Therefore, students should not bring makeup or hair products to school.
Basic Costume Don't's:
- Costumes may not have parts that interfere with learning. This means no masks or costumes that restrict movement or vision, or prevent sitting at desks Costumes must not obstruct movement in the hallways.
- Costumes may not promote violence or have accessories or props that could be used as a weapon.
Please remember that this is still a school day. Students are expected to fully participate in class throughout the day. We are looking forward to everyone following the guidelines, coming up with creative costumes, and having fun!
Friendly Reminder: Please do not send food or candy into school.
