A Note From Mrs. Delair!
Hello Everyone!
As we are now into May and heading into our final events of the year, remember to check the calendar and be aware of notices coming home concerning your child's schedule. It is getting very busy around here! I am thrilled to see your child/children continuing to work hard even though nice weather makes us all a little antsy! I wish you all a great month and look forward to seeing you at upcoming events!

Fifth Grade Update!
What a busy spring we have planned! Fifth graders are working hard in preparation of their big move to the middle school. This month the fifth graders visited the Oliver Winch Middle School for a Fifth Grade Field Day. While at OWMS our fifth graders had the opportunity to meet some of their future classmates and teachers. Students participated in cooperative games and also got a tour of the building.
On May 25th, we will have fun at the Richards’ Dairy Farm learning about the use of robotic milking machines. We have many questions for Mr. and Mrs. Richards and we will learn a great deal about the use of robots. It’s amazing what robots can do!! We also will travel to the Battenkill Creamery to see the production of ice cream right at their farm and for ice cream too!!
On Friday, June 8th our fifth graders will visit the Bronx Zoo. Thanks to all of the hard work from our parents and students we were able to do a lot of fun and exciting things. What fun it will be!
In science, we have been learning about Newton’s Laws of Motion. We are using those laws to design water bottle rockets. Whose rocket will go the farthest or most accurately? We shall see…
Our class picnic is scheduled for Monday, June 19th. All parents are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there!
We will soon begin to prepare for our Moving Up Day which is scheduled for Thursday, June 22nd.
