December Monthly Activity Calendar
Click the link below to access and print the calendar for the month of DECEMBER. As a family try to do as many of the boxes as you can during the entire month of December! You will see that many of the activities focus on winter and holidays. A huge THANK YOU to Second Grade Teachers, Mrs. Galinsky and Mrs. Delli Paoli, for creating this month's activity calendar!
December Jaguar of the Month - Student Recognition Program
As a school learning community, we are recognizing TJS jaguars who consistently demonstrate exemplary character traits, behavior, kindness, and compassion for others. Nominations are submitted throughout the entire month and at the end of the month, one jaguar from each grade level is selected and recognized. Today, Ms. Garcia announced the December Jaguars of the Month!
Congratulations to...
- Kindergartener - Brianna Thomas
- First Grader - Scarlett Spadaccini
- Second Grader - Anna Davis
- Third Grader - JP Roffelsen
- Fourth Grader - Conor Donohoe
- Fifth Grader - Victoria Cohen
We are hopeful that as a community, students will be eager to serve as positive role models for their peers to always be upstanding members of our school.
Sing-Along Fun! Thank you for joining our festive fun!
Kindergarten - Q and U Celebration!
Last week the two kindergarten classes got together for a Friendship Ceremony to celebrate the partnership between Q and U! This was an engaging way for students to learn the spelling pattern of "qu." The ceremony reinforced the idea that every time we write a word with a q in kindergarten we always follow the q with a u. Students thought of words that start with "qu" and enjoyed the class celebration!
Happy Holidays from the Art Room!
We have been wrapping up projects this month! Fifth grade has completed their beautiful birch tree mixed media project that they worked so hard on!
The rest of the grades have taken a look at Norman Rockwell’s Narrative artwork and had some
fun making their own drawings that tell a story. The challenge: you must include a snowman.
The students were very creative putting their snowman on the beach, on a poster, or as an
ornament on a Christmas tree!
Next up, self portraits!!
I wish everyone a wonderful break and look forward to the new year with your children!
