As one of our first events to CELEBRATE the 100th year of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School, we are inviting ALL current and former faculty, staff and administrators of HNCS to join us here at Holy Name Church for 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday, September 18 which is Catechetical Sunday. Following Mass, we will be serving coffee and donuts while we have the opportunity to visit and reminisce. More information will be coming SOON!

Oktoberfest Spirit Stick Competition is ON!

Calling on all current Holy Name Giants! The Spirit Stick is up for grabs! The homeroom class that brings in the most donations will earn the coveted Holy Name Catholic School Spirit Stick!


When: Monday, September 19th - Thursday, September 29th

What: Cases of regular Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, 2-liter soda bottles, & bottled water

Why: Service project as we gear up towards Oktoberfest!


IMPORTANT - Because we will be selling these family-friendly drinks, it is important that all donations are the same! We are requesting that all soda cans are 12fl ounces and of the Coca-Cola brands shown above (no generic brands or Pepsi products please). We are requesting any brand of bottled water of the typical 16.9fl ounce size. We will take ANY 2-liter bottle of soda for our Kid Zone carnival game. Thank you for understanding!

Boys Basketball

4th-8th Grade Boys

Boys basketball registration is now open until October 6th on the CYO website. Total cost is $95. Pizza party/ callout (open gym) will be on Monday, October 3rd for any boy that is interested in playing. More details to come. 2nd & 3rd Grade Girls Basketball

Any 2nd or 3rd grad GIRL interested in playing basketball this year, please find the link below to sign up. We host these leagues, so all games will be played on Saturdays at Holy Name!


The deadline to sign up is September 30th. The cost is free for Holy Name students. Games will start on Saturday October 22nd and will run through December 10th. Games will be played on Saturdays with at least 1 practice during the week.

Extended Care News

Extended Care will be closed on Friday September 30th for E-Learning Day.

Extended Care will be open on October 5th, 6th for early release, but there will be NO Extended Care on Friday October 7.

Roncalli welcomes back alumni and friends to a rocking post game Homecoming celebration on Friday, September 16, 2022! Post game party tickets are now available at https://boostmyschool.com/roncalli-homecoming-tent-party for $10.

Roncalli Shadow Program


Roncalli is excited to welcome future Royals to campus for the Royal for a Day Program, and days are already filling up! All shadows will be on an individual basis, with 8 students being able to join us each day. All visits will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Roncalli Lady Royal Youth Basketball

All 3rd – 6th Grade Girls,

Roncalli Lady Royal Youth Basketball will be holding tryouts to assemble 3rd – 6th grade girls basketball teams. If you are interested in an experience that will focus on fundamental development, competitive games and fun we would love to see you.

Roncalli teams will be competing, this year, in the Midwest Youth Tourney (MYT) Leagues for two sessions (fall & winter), the complete dates are listed below for your review. Our goal is to field 2 competitive teams at each grade level for both sessions. Player fees will be $200.

Tryouts will be held at Roncalli High School in the ASV Gymnasium (Main Gym) on the following dates and times:

5th & 6th Grades 7:00 Registration, 7:30 – 9:00 Tryouts

It is recommended for the girls to attend both tryout sessions if possible, but if your schedule only permits one night that is acceptable. Following tryouts, final team selections will be communicated via email.
