A Message from the Superintendent....
What a great opening to another exciting school year in the Galena Park Independent School District! We know this only happens with a lot of effort and planning by our employees and support from our parents and community. For that, we thank you immensely.
It was exciting to see all the smiling faces in the four new campus buildings on the first day of school. Walking the halls of Woodland Acres Elementary, North Shore Elementary, Galena Park Elementary and our new North Shore 10th Grade Center was truly a remarkable experience. These projects were all made possible through your support of our Bond 2016 program. We are now looking forward to completing the next phase of the bond proposal which includes the rebuilding of Cloverleaf Elementary, Pyburn Elementary, Jacinto City Elementary and major renovations for Galena Park High School.
As we begin this new year together, please know our goal remains the same – to provide the best education possible, in the safest environments possible, to all students in our district. We seek nothing but the best. We are dedicated to giving 100% each and every day of the school year preparing our students to be productive citizens and lifelong learners in whatever path they may take going forward.
Angi M. Williams, Ed.D.
