Title 1 Funding- VERY IMPORTANT

A significant portion of Fern Elementary's funding comes from Federal Title 1 funding. This funding is ONLY received if parents complete the meal application found HERE. We NEED EVERYONE to complete this application whether your student is planning on eating in the cafeteria or not. Please complete this application ASAP.

TEF Sketchers Walk

Fern’s Skechers Walk Fundraiser has begun!

We are walking to raise money for an outdoor learning environment. We would like to add 3 more tables, umbrellas and AstroTurf to our garden.

For everyone that registers as a walker (Friday, 9/15 @ 3 pm through Friday, 9/22 @ 3:pm) will be entered into a drawing.

1st Prize - Kids Fire 7 Tablet
2nd Prize - Dr. Remland's Monster

Interactive Menus for Breakfast, Lunch and ELOP Snack

Free Breakfast and Lunch will be served in the cafeteria on the first day of school. These will be provided FREE of charge during the 2023-2024 school year. Children, of course, may pack a snack & lunch. Visit the TUSD Nutrition Services website www.tusd.org/nutrition-services for additional information.

This packet was handed out at back to school night on behalf of our wonderful PTA.

Association Meeting

When: Thursday, September 21st at 6:00pm
Where: Fern Cafeteria
Why: Help us build our Fern community! Learn about how PTA works, ways to get involved and volunteer and see how PTA is spending the funds raised at Fern. Get to know the board and other Fern families plus ask all your questions! Every family will receive a FREE BOOK for attending (while supplies last).
How: Childcare will be provided during the meeting. Free pizza and drinks will be available while supplies last.
Just for fun - complete the Fern PTA Trivia for a chance to win $20 Scholastic Dollars for the upcoming Book Fair. There will be 5 winners and you must be present at the meeting to win. Scan the QR code to enter (Trivia answers can be found on the Association Meeting Presentation)

PTA Fundraiser

Fern Families! Our Photo Fundraiser is back by popular demand! This year we will be taking family photos in a local eucalyptus grove. Mark your calendars and get your outfits ready for the photo shoots happening on 10/14-10/15. We had a great turnout last school year and we want to encourage you to sign up early as spots will fill up! Start thinking about your Holiday cards and yearly photos and support our school while you do it! It’s a win win! Please see the flyer for details and sign up using the link provided!
