Message from the Principal

Hello Prairie Friends and Families,

It's hard to believe that September is gone and October is here! I continue to be impressed by the level of engagement I'm seeing all over our school. Your learners are working SO hard!

At the beginning of the year, I read the book "Share Your Rainbow" to our team of educators to inspire them to reflect on the rainbows in their lives. Then, our learners got to hear this book read to them in art and they reflected on the rainbows in their lives by drawing them. While this year is different than others and there is a lot of uncertainty, there is one thing we know for sure... having the opportunity to share in the growth that your learners make is a rainbow that we are incredibly thankful for. We'd like to share this rainbow with you by giving you a glimpse into our first month of learning. Take a look at the video below!

We are stronger together!

Student Services Update

Please click here for an update from Mr. Endsley, our School Psychologist, and Mrs. Ebbinger-Bentley, our School Social Worker.

Early Pick Up for Students

If you need to pick up your student early for any reason or for appointments during the day, please come in to the lobby and buzz the office. We will call your child down at that point and sign them out from the office. It is helpful to email the teacher and Mrs. Anderson of expected times so we can try to have them ready to leave.

Dropping off Supplies

We have a new procedure in place if you need to drop off student materials during the day (lunch, homework, jackets, iPads, etc). The outside door to the lobby of the school is open. There are "drop off tickets" on the table inside the door. Please complete your child's name, grade/teacher, and the item being delivered with any special instructions. We will deliver it to the classroom just as soon as we can. Thank you for your support.

Annual Online Registration

Please make sure to complete your Annual Online Registration in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need your login and password information, please feel free to contact Mrs. Anderson at vanderso@waukesha.k12.wi.us. This registration gives important permissions needed for your child for iPad use, picture/video taping, etc.

All school fees have been assigned in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Fees can be paid by credit card through this portal or by cash/check in the Prairie office. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Anderson at vanderso@waukesha.k12.wi.us.
