It has been an exciting start to Adapted In-person so far! We are all celebrating being back together and learning new routines for lunch, recess, Fine Arts, and PE at school!
We still have long lines of students at check-in, partly because many students are arriving to school with no self-assessment. When this happens, we must take the student's temperature and have him or her fill out a hand-written sheet for the self-assessment questions. This is a very slow process when we are trying to scan 100+ kids in at a particular door! Please help us all by completing your self-assessment at home every day.
I hope you saw our fun flags planted in front of the building from our celebration last week! Check it out if you get a chance!
There's lots of important information below - I hope you'll take a minute to check through it all!
Happy 2nd week of in-person,
- Be your child's best example. Please be courteous and follow all safety guidelines at all times.
- Please drive slowly and watch for children.
- Note that traffic through campus is ONEWAY, so it is important that you always enter and exit correctly and carefully.
- Do not use your cell phone while driving in the drop-off and pick-up lane.
- Pull as far forward as possible before dropping - off and loading your children.
- Children should exit and enter on the driver's side only.
- Do not pass other vehicles to pull in front of them to pick up your child.
- Once your child is in the vehicle, you may pull carefully out when directed by Staff.
- Please recognize that teachers, and staff are working quickly to unload and load students safely into cars and to keep traffic moving.

Virtual Book Fair starting Monday 4/12/2021-4/25/2021
"The 2021 Memory Book is now available for purchase! The Memory Book editors will be working hard to pull together as many pictures as possible to create a book that highlights this unique year. Due to the pandemic, the individual school pictures were delayed by about 6 months. Because of these delays, the books will not be developed and shipped back to the school prior to the last day. As such, we appreciate your patience as we work to develop the book this Spring.
We will need to work through options for distribution, so there will be more information forthcoming. In the meantime, please watch for some requests for pictures and quotes coming out from the Room parents to help us fill the pages with special memories."
Registration for the 2021-2022 School Year Opened on April 1
Registration for the 2021-2022 school year opened up for new and returning students on April 1. So, whether you're enrolling your youngest for 8th grade, or have an incoming kindergartener, look for registration information just after spring break. The district will offer an early bird discount for those who register by May 31, 2021. Click HERE to start the registration process on April 1.
Parents, as we move into adapted in-person, please remind your students to always sit in their assigned seats on the bus. If there were a positive case of COVID-19 on the bus, we would rely on seat assignments to determine who was a close contact (within 6 feet) of that positive case.
For the duration of 2021 school year there will be no fees for lunch. Parents are welcomed to send lunches from home. All students are entitled to one free lunch each school day. Every meal includes milk. If a child brings their own lunch and would like milk only, the milk by itself will cost .60 cents. The state has only approved complete meals as free. The few items that must be charged are listed below: Milk only: $0.60
