What is Malware?
Malware by definition is a computer virus created to specifically to damage your system. There are three forms of malware: viruses, Trojan horses, and spyware. Each of these will uniquely crash your computer system if you are careless!
Trojan Horses
Trojan horses are a computer program planted illegally in another program to do damage when the software is activated. They are often designed to look like a legit program or software, but as soon as they're opened they allow someone else to access your computer.
Spyware
Spyware is a software installed secretly and illegally to gather information about an internet user and transfers the information to a third party. Spyware is typically hidden making it hard to detect, but is often installed when downloading a fake program.
Viruses
Computer viruses are self-replicating codes illegally planted into a computer program. Viruses will often damage or shut down your computer. A virus might be an email attachment or a security update.
How do I avoid becoming a victim of malware?
It's not hard to avoid malware, there a few simple ways you can do so. One way is to download an Antivirus software these will help you to avoid viruses. Another way is to get Firewall protection it controls in ingoing and outgoing of network traffic. The most important though is common sense! If it's too good to be true than it's probably fake!
