Yonder Stand the Sinners - playing the music of Neil Young

Friday, Dec. 14th 2012 at 9pm

120-122 Oxford St

Band on stage at 9:00pm

About the band

"Yonder Stand the Sinners" was formed when six talented Bristol-based musicians all came together, inspired by their passion for the music of Mr Young. After a triumphant debut at the Oxford this October, YSTS will be returning once again to The Oxford to spread some West-coast American Christmas cheer. It will be an evening showcasing both sides of Neil, from his heart-felt, folky acoustic songs, to his electrified hard-rockin, Crazy Horse songs. These superbly-written songs will be given the unique YSTS treatment...with two harmonising female vocalists, soaring lead guitar solos, the ethereal sound of the pedal steel guitar, and an exhilarating rhythm section, it's Neil Young like you've never heard before!

Support - The Anna Young Band

Support is by the Anna Young Band. Anna is a regular feature of the Bristol live music scene and, more recently, at venues and festivals across the South West, including Baths One World Festival. Her debut EP Silly Heart was very well received, with radio airplay in Bristol and Wales. "Annas songs are beautifully crafted, honest and linger in the heart and mind long after she has left the stage."
