Students with 7 or more absences will provide a doctor's excusal for each absence. Parents should send medical excusals to the classroom teachers when the student returns to school. Medical excusals will be counted as excused absences. Our goal is to ensure that your child's attendance is accurate.

A Message from Dr. Hanson, Superintendent

The purpose of the Town Hall meetings is to provide our community, including our staff, the opportunity to interact with the district to provide input on the future of Warren Schools for our 2020-2025 Strategic Plan. It is our goal to develop a comprehensive plan that will ensure all students and staff have the conditions necessary to develop and apply the Journey of a Graduate skills and dispositions. The Journey of a Graduate skills are a set of 6 skills and dispositions that have been identified by our community needed for success in and out of school.


Below are the dates and times of the upcoming Town Hall Meetings. I have also included the survey we are providing as another way to collect our community's input. If you have not completed the survey, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Breakfast with Santa returns this year! We hope to see you tomorrow morning at this popular event. Santa will be at Grassy Creek Saturday December 7th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. $3.00 for pancakes and sausage!


Next PTA meeting of the school year will be at 6 pm at Grassy Creek on Thursday January 9th. ALL are invited.


Our annual DoDads' Dance is on January 31, 2020 6 to 7:30 pm. Mark your calendar.

The next skating party is February 12, 2020 6 to 8 pm at the Roller Cave.

Indianapolis Symphonic Choir's Festivals of Carols

Indianapolis Symphonic Choir's Festivals of Carols will be on Saturday, December 7th at 3:00 pm and Sunday, December 8th at 3:00 pm. This concert is filled with a variety of holiday favorites performed by choir, orchestra, and other guest
artists such as Broadway star Michele McConnell returning for a second year, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Spotlight High School Choirs, Santa, and a
Christmas Gospel Celebration featuring renowned gospel recording artist Rodnie Bryant & friends. Tickets may be purchased at www.warrenpac.org.

A Soul Stirring Christmas will be on Saturday, December 14th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, December 15th at 4:00 pm. This is The Asante Children’s Theatre’s tribute to the Holiday Season! Grassy Creek is selling trash bags again this year as a fundraiser. These are quality bags suitable in size and strength for your trash needs and any yard work needs. These bags are twice as thick as the leading name brand and come in three different sizes. Each roll is $10. Choose from White - 15 gallon (tall kitchen), 65 bags per roll, Yellow or Pink - 39 gallon, 25 bags per roll, or Blue - 55 gallon (super size) 16 bags per roll. Proceeds go directly into our Student Activity Fund and will be used for the students where needed.Thank you in advance for your continued support! FROM THE OFFICE OF EXCEPTIONAL LEARNERS

Warren's High Ability Program is designed to meet the unique academic needs of gifted and talented students. The curriculum in these classes is differentiated and faster paced and students will be working above grade level if they qualify. As a district, we look at all students in grades 1, 4, 6 and 8 to see if they qualify for the following school year based on eligibility criteria. Parent recommendations are considered along with achievement scores when determining placement in high ability. More detailed identification information can be found here. If you would like to complete a recommendation for the broad based planning committee to consider you can do so here 2020-2021 High Ability Parent Recommendation Form The parent recommendation form will be open until January 31, 2020.
