NBAS District-wide Tech Conference
March 13, 2015 *8:00am-3:00pm*
Conference e-blast [more to come]
The new Career and College Readiness Standards require the shared responsibility in the teaching and integration of technology. It is no longer just the computer teacher's job to prepare North Branch Area students for the demands and rigor of the new digital literacies embedded within the Michigan Standards. These standards require North Branch Area teachers to engage in collegial dialogue about what pieces of the curriculum would be improved by technology integration. With digital media pervading every corner of our students’ home and school lives, it is essential for teachers to deepen their own knowledge about technology and how it can improve what's being taught while exploring the affordances and constraints of various tools.
On Friday, March 13, 2015, the 2014-15 Teacher Technology Institute [TTI] cadre (pictured below) is thrilled to be hosting a K-12 technology event at Ruth Fox Elementary. District colleagues involved in the TTI have been working diligently to prepare a wide-variety of interactive sessions to provide a small lens into some of the learning and thinking going on in the realm of technology as a result of their participation in the Teacher Technology Institute.
