CSinPA October 2022
Celebrations and Shout-Outs
Jigar Patel selected for CSTA Equity Fellowship
Jigar Patel (Tuscarora Intermediate Unit 11) is participating in the 2022-23 CSTA Equity Fellowship, a national program focused addressing inequities in K-12 CS education.
Jigar is well known in CSinPA for leading projects out of IU11, presenting annually at the CSforALLPA Summit, serving as the vice president of the CSTA Susquehanna Valley chapter, and more. He believes everyone should be exposed to CS, "not because everyone is going to become a computer scientist or programmer/developer, but because CS teaches you how to break down complex problems into smaller steps, it teaches you how to think systematically and helps your mind build systems."
Well said, Jigar!
We want to celebrate CS efforts in your community!

Professional Learning
CSinPA virtual community
Professional learning isn't limited to a workshop, conference, or program; some of the best ideas come from everyday conversations.
We launched the CSinPA virtual community on Mighty Networks for you to seek out ideas from others, hear what's going on in other schools and communities, and share resources. There's no cost to participate, so we hope you'll join us.
We're also seeking individuals to serve as guest moderators to foster engagement and facilitate informal professional learning in the community over a two-week period. Guest moderators will be paid a stipend of $200. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
