Apparel Order

The Eagle Graphics online store is open! Here is the link: http://www.co-store.com/washingtoneagles

We will be sending order forms to ACI, WI, TA & HO. There is a 4K Program t-shirt on the order form that your or your students may be interested in.

Thanks to Jay and Angie for all of their work getting this together.

Dismissal Procedures

As well as things are going with arrival and dismissal of students, there is one last "glitch" that we need to work on: Dismissal of EC students and taking bus students out.

The issue is trying to get the bus students out the front door (while maintaining their line) and having the EC parents coming in & out in the same area. This is also the time that the 4K students are crossing the same "intersection" to get to their dismissal door.

Often you will see me being a crossing guard just to maintain some order.

I am talking with the EC teachers to see what we could do eliminate the congestion.

I also need to remind everyone that BUS STUDENTS should be at their bus spot by 10:55 and 2:40. This is critical to make sure we can get those students out the door and on their bus as close to 11:00 as possible. Please keep in mind that as winter clothing is required, you are going to need more time to get ready at the end of the day.

We will discuss more in the next week.

My message to you...

I want to be sure that my message to you from Friday gets explained a little further.

I am trying to get organized so I can be more effective in my daily work. I am trying to find more efficient ways to communicate with you as well as make sure you are able to communicate with me and I am able to get back with you in a timely manner.

My comment about email is that we all (NJSD district and beyond!) rely on it so much that in order to keep up with communication via email, it consumes an unbelievable amount of time. Please come and see me when you can; call me from your phone extension; or stop me in the hallway. I will try and keep my note pad with me so I can write down anything that I need to follow up on. Yes, also send an email when you need to communicate with more then one person at a time, or really need to make sure I am aware of something.

I have been very overwhelmed lately, but I didn't want it to seem like it has anything to do with you.

One thing I can tell you with certainty...the best thing about my job is the staff that I get to work with each day! I am truly blessed to have such dedicated, caring, and hard-working people to be on a team with.

Thank you for what you do each day. I appreciate each of you so much.

To Do!

  • Send me BUDGET ideas for next year. They can be part of the "Big Idea" I shared with you; ideas that are a little smaller then that; or items we are HOPEFUL will be included in our budget and building updates for next year. No ideas are too big or too small. DUE Monday night.
  • Send LST names to me by Thursday to be included in the Friday LST meeting
