Class Lists: The Process, Timeline and Details
Parents,
We are just 6 weeks away from the end of the school year! I wanted to share some important information with you regarding class lists for 2019-2020 and give you a chance to share your feedback.
Please review the attached letter that addresses the process, timeline and details of organizing the class lists. If your child has a unique need and you feel they would benefit from a particular type of learning environment that the current teacher would be unaware of, feel free to submit that in writing (email works the best!) to me no later than Monday, April 29th. My email address is lara.utecht@allenisd.org.
Thank you,
Mrs. Utecht, Principal

School Time Changes for 2019-2020 School Year
School start and end times will change for the 2019-2020 school year as Allen ISD moves to a new transportation schedule.
Beginning next fall, Allen ISD school buses will run three routes each morning and afternoon instead of two. The three-tiered system will provide more flexibility in scheduling drivers and transporting students to programs such as the new STEAM Center.
The 2019-2020 bell schedule will be:
Elementary Schools: 7:45 a.m. – 2:55 p.m.
Middle Schools: 8:20 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Lowery Freshman Center: 8:45 a.m. – 4:05 p.m
Allen High School: 8:50 a.m. – 4:10 p.m.
High school times may vary based on student schedules.
Three factors led to the change, according to Daniel Pitcock, assistant superintendent for operations. “Increases in ridership, an ongoing shortage of drivers and the opening of special programs such as STEAM have required us to look at a different schedule.”
Allen ISD is the only large school district in the area combining middle and high school students on the same routes, he added. "The current two-tier system requires more drivers and is less efficient than running three separate routes."
Severe Weather Alerts
The spring season is here, and with it can come severe weather. We do our best to remain abreast of changes in the weather conditions in order to keep our students and staff safe. If severe weather arises that could threaten the safety of our students during dismissal times, we will contact you via School Messenger. As always, please ensure that your emergency contact information is up to date, including name, phone number and email.
Thank you!
