A note from Humphrey
Dear Trantwood,
I just want to thank you for reading about me in January! I am pretty cute, don’t you think? The first day we come back, on Jan. 3rd, Trantwood is having an assembly at 1:45 that will explain the Whole School Read Aloud to students and staff. We have a calendar to follow, chapter by chapter, and there is also a discussion and vocabulary guide.
Each classroom will be given a bag filled with our books after the assembly. Karen Francis, thankfully, placed labels inside each Humphrey book with the students’ names and the teacher’s name as well. Every class will also be given a classroom journal and a stuffed Humphrey animal, so that students can take me home and write about my adventures there.
Finally, you will also have a yellow vocabulary box that says “Feed Humphrey New Words.” Have your students use a vocabulary word from the book (or from their own reading) in a sentence of their own. Perhaps during morning meeting, or every afternoon before dismissal you could pull one and share.
Mrs. Roewer has all the teachers’ copies in her room so if you’d like to read about me during your break, please stop by!!!
Happy Holidays!
Love,
Humphrey

Trantwood really knows how to make Christmas special. 190 gifts for kids and counting!
Happy to capture a special memory. Bennett was the first student Mrs. Lewis met at Trantwood.
Many thanks to the Trantwood family for helping Noah live out his dream to help others.
A note from Noah's mother...
Thanks again so much for helping Noah with the Pajama Drive. You truly are a gift not only to my son but to all your students and the ones you are helping in East Tennessee. It brought tears to my eyes picking them up this morning and seeing all the generous giving from the faculty, students, and parents of Trantwood. I hope all of Trantwood has a blessed Holiday Season.
Thanks again,
Sonya
