Challenge
I challenge you to take a course with me during the months of April and May!
Enrollment is simple and you can begin the course almost immediately!
If you do a module each week, the course can be completed easily. I usually spend around 45 minutes on each module.
Defining the Digital Difference
This self-directed course is designed to provide participants with a very brief introduction to technology use in education. Content includes an introduction to SAMR, rationale for using technology in the classroom, and ways curriculum may change when technology is introduced. This five-module course requires approximately three hours to complete. (3 PGPs)
Introduction to Blended and Online Teaching
This course provides an exploration of the foundational aspects of using technology in the classroom. Participants will learn about the SAMR model, digital citizenship, curation, digital tools, and more! Individuals who complete the course will have an understanding of why educators must shift their mindset in order to reach students in the 21st Century. (14 PGPs)
Technology Integration 101
This course will look at more of the “nuts and bolts” topics that arise in a technology-rich setting and provide practical tips and tricks that can be applied to your classroom immediately while providing resources to share with colleagues and other stakeholders. Each module includes videos with suggestions from educators who have made the transition to a 1:1 environment. (16 PGPs)
