Welcome to the Olympian Family Baby Rogosin!

Congratulations to Team No Teacher Left Behind

How did some staff spend their last Friday and Saturday before returning to work??? Running a total of 194 miles! For those of you that don't know this has been 3 years in the making, the Ragnar Relay is a race that spans over two days and 1 night. The team consists of 12 members and each runner runs 3 legs of the race. The distance for each leg varies from 3 - ??? miles. Each team is given a "slap" bracelet that serves as their baton. When exchanging runners, the runner finishing a leg of the race slaps the bracelet onto the wrist of the next runner, who then continues the relay. The relay started in Huntington Beach and ended at the Embarcadero. Congratulations to our Olympian staff who displayed true "grit" (perseverance) - Valerie Ruiz, Alicia Pentz-Lopez, Steve Rodriguez, Alex Salazar, Sarah Shepard, Sharon LaVie, Joe Lara and Melanie Armour (also former Olympian - Janet Amezcua, and Sarah Shepard's husband). Special thanks to Craig Collins who drove one of the vans!
