Apollo Early Childhood Center
February, 2022 Updates
Principal's Corner
Dear Families,
It is hard to believe that 2022 is already upon us. As I reflect upon the past year, I have enjoyed the relationships that I’ve built with your children (and with you!) and I am grateful for the dedicated team of teachers and staff that we all work with every day. I look forward to what lies ahead this year: continuing to provide meaningful opportunities that foster growth and development for our youngsters, sending off our soon-to-be 2022/2023 kindergartners (who will be 2035 high school graduates!), a whole building remodel, welcoming new families into our Early Childhood family and continuing the powerful work that we do together as partners in your child’s early education. I have no doubt that it will be an exciting year!
I would like to highlight some important calendar events that are happening at Apollo in the near future.
- February 4th marks the first winter home visit day for GSRP students. GSRP virtual home visits will also occur on February 8th and 18th. Watch for more information to come from your child's teacher.
- February 8th is a non-attendance day for PAL, GSRP and fee-based preschool students. SXI students have an early release day and will be dismissed at 1:36 pm. Child care students will be in session. Staff will participate in professional collaboration on this day.
- February 11th and 25th are instructional Fridays for PAL students. February 11th is also an instructional Friday for GSRP students.
- In observance of Mid-Winter Break, on February 21st and 22nd, PAL and SXI students do not have class. GSRP and fee-based preschool students are off all week. Child care is in session all week. Please mark your calendars accordingly.
Until next month...
Warm Regards,
Jen Kidd
