Library Rules
Library Books: Students may check-out two (2) books for two (2) weeks and renew two (2) times.
Class Set Books: ELA teachers set these due dates for their class set books.
6th Grade Mrs. Lavelle and Mrs. Malsam are still using The Golden Goblet.
7th Grade, Mrs. Boothe, The Giver was due March 3rd, The Outsiders is due May 31st unless otherwise notified by teacher.
8th Grade, Mrs. Daniels, Lord of the Flies was due March 3rd, The Island of Dr. Moureau is due May 31st.
Textbooks: Textbooks are due at the end of the school year or immediately if student is leaving the school. Textbooks range in pricing from $66.00 - $80.00. It is the students' and families' responsibility to return the textbooks in good condition. Only their names should be written in the textbooks. Textbooks not returned need to be paid for.

3rd Trimester Overdue Library Books:
May 10th overdue class notices and bills were sent to your students' first period classroom teachers. Please have your student return, renew or pay for their missing library books or class set books. Textbook numbers must match the #s they signed out for the beginning of the year. Unreturned textbooks and library books will impact their end-of-year activities.

APRIL/MAY: Spring Book Fair!
Than you for shopping the Book Fair, sales were over $2000.00 and All For Books donations were $70.00! Amber K. won the Book Fair raffle of over $100 in value in books and merchandise. Avery D. won the "Caught Your Reading" drawing of a book and a treat.
FEBRUARY: LIONS LITERACY CONTEST
Higgins Diggins Lions Club is sponsoring its ANNUAL Literacy Contest! A lucky Magnolia student could win a Kindle! One Kindle is given out per grade level. Students are eligible for the contest by reading books at their teacher's recommended level, taking AR quizzes and passing quizzes by 80% or more! They are automatically entered each time they take an Accelerated Reader quiz that meets the above parameters. Thanks to Higgins Diggins Lions Club for sponsoring this award winning contest for Magnolia Intermediate School.

September STRAWS: Makerspace in the Library
Students can voluntarily come in at lunch and make straw mazes, towers, platforms and last week in September, a straw roller coaster, group project. This is voluntary and is STEM compatible!
