Endangered Species
By Ricardo Lozano Jr
What are endangered species?
- When a species is endangered it means that that specific type of animal is at risks of not existing anymore and vanishing forever.
Giant Panda
The giant panda is one of the many endangered species, with only 1,864 of them alive in the wild, one of their biggest threat is being "accidentally" killed.
Amur Leopard
Critically endangered with only 60+ of them living, they are hunted for their beautiful spotted fur, which can be sold for 500-1000 dollars.
South China Tiger
Sadly these tigers are believed to be extinct in the wild because of them being hunted as pests.
Why do endangered species matter?
- Us humans can't live in the world without plants or animals because we depend on them for, food, clothes , medicine etc. Not only for us but also for the planet, to keep the ecosystem stable.
What are making these species endangered.
Humans are responsible for many if not all of the species that are endangered.
We litter, hunt , destroy there homes and more horrible things that we don't realize are effecting the animals.
What can we do to help?
We can help in many ways such as , picking up trash from a park, stop hunting animals, stop illegal wildlife trade and stop destroying animals homes.
