For families who have not responded, our office staff will be contacting you to confirm your decision. Please know that if we do not receive your confirmation by Wednesday October 7th, your option will default to distance learning for the remainder of the school year. More information regarding how hybrid learning will look at Laurel Hill School, will be communicated via our communication platforms over the next few weeks.
This month's edition of our newsletter contains information regarding expectation during distance learning, progress reports, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and more.
Please continue to focus on you and your family during this time and do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions that you may have.
Please also continue to reach out to your child's teacher with any questions or concerns you may have.
Sincerely,
Maria A Lopez- Principal and Deanna Micaletti- Assistant Principal

Laurel Hill Transformation Days...
Laurel Hill is unique in our district due to our site exception. One of the key factors in student success is allowing time for staff to collaborate in order to analyze student data, learn from one another, and identify areas in our instruction that are working and may need to be adjusted in order to support the needs of all of our students.
*When we return to in person learning, students will be dismissed at 10:52 am on the following dates:
Transformation Days:
October 21, 2020
November 18, 2020
December 16, 2020
January 20, 2021
February 17, 2021
March 17, 2021
April 21, 2021
May 19, 2021
During distance learning, synchronous instruction will end at 10:52, as it will each day of distance learning. However, during asynchronous learning, teachers will not be available. Students are not expected to participate during the afternoon of our Transformation Days. However, in order to maintain a level of consistency for our children, teachers may decide to ask student use this time to practice or complete projects that they have not completed.
*Please note that when we return to in person learning, students, who receive bus transportation will remain at school until 2:00 pm while students who walk home or are transported to a child care facility will dismiss at 10:52 am
