Monk Fryston Weekly News 8.10.21

Next week's school target is 'Stay safe around school'

Open Evening - 13th October

Don’t forget that our open evening for new families is on Wednesday next week from 4.30pm - 6pm. Booking through Facebook or the office is recommended but not essential. This will be a great chance to meet the staff, have a play and enjoy some pizza.

New locking system.

You may have noticed that we are having a new locking system being installed on our doors. This does affect the front door. If you need to come to the front door, please press the buzzer on the keypad then we can let you in. If you have buzzed at the main gate and been let in you will still need to buzz at the door too. We are hoping to have a better solution to this shortly.

Please don't park on the zigzags.

We have noted that some parents are choosing to drop children off immediately outside the school entrance. Please note that vehicles should not be stopped on the zigzag yellow lines or in front of the gates for safety reasons. We would be grateful if you would park slightly further away.

Thank you from the Food Bank

On behalf of Selby & District Foodbank I would love to say a huge thank you for your most generous Harvest donation. In total the food you

collected weighed 168.5kg!!

We are already starting to see a rise in food needs within the district. Many people are facing the stark choice of eating or heating.

With the end of Universal Credit uplift, rising food and fuel costs and the end of the furlough scheme in England, many more families will

be pushed into a food crisis.

We are hugely proud as a team to have continued to provide a service throughout the pandemic and are ready to face whatever the winter brings.

Once again thank you for your continued support.

Don’t forget that we have a collection box in the school entrance for items that can be donated to the Food Bank, which are collected periodically.
