Palm Sunday and Holy Week
Palm Sunday is known as such because the faithful will often receive palm fronds which they use to participate in the re-enactment of Jesus's arrival into Jerusalem. In the Gospels, Jesus enters Jerusalem riding a young donkey, and to the lavish praise of the townspeople who threw clothes, and possibly small palms in front of him as a sign of homage.
A week later, Christ would rise from the dead on the first Easter.

Lord Jesus, the last week of your life
was filled with many emotions.
Because you were human, you felt pain and fear.
Because you are divine, you had to see it through to the end.
You could have stopped the pain and suffering,
but you loved us so much you said yes.
Thank-you for winning life over death for us.
Thank-you for overcoming sin and evil for us.
Thank-you for opening the gates of heaven
so someday we can be happy with you there.

Parent Assurance Survey
The Parent Assurance Survey is an online survey that allows parents to give their input into school improvement initiatives. All parents will be given an opportunity to participate. You are encouraged to complete the survey, but may choose not to. The purpose of this process of gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing information is to assist in the creation of the schools three year education plan that continues to move and improve our school. Our ultimate goal is to impact student learning and to ensure that children are successful.
Successful schools foster greater communication with parents, encourage parental involvement in their child's schoolwork, and enlist parents to volunteer at the school and participate in school governance. Please note, only one survey per person will be registered by the program. The survey is now available until Wednesday April 15th.
The Parent Assurance Survey can be accessed at
If you are not able to complete the survey at home, we will have Chromebooks set up at the school during parent teacher interviews on March 22 and 23 for you to complete the survey.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school.
Also, our Sharing Circle Program for children experiencing a divorce or separation have been meeting regularly for the past several weeks. To those children that are participating, thank-you to the parents that have consented to their participation.
