News and Notes from the Principal
November is here and this week has certainly brought a chill to the air! This week we concluded our College Knowledge Activities with a Virtual College Fair, Sr. Graduation Orders and ASVAB Testing for those interested. This coming week is a bit shorter than normal as all students/staff observe Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2020.

Final Exams & Exam Exemption
Final exams will be administered on Thursday, December 17 and Friday, December 18 during the first two blocks of each day. Students have the opportunity to exempt some or all of their exams based on grades, discipline and being clear of obligations. Each week, advisors check the Obligations List to remind students to take care of any detentions they need to serve, forms they need to return or fines/fees that are owed. We have many students (eLearners and face-to-face) on the Obligations List because they have not returned the Demographic Sheet and Health Card. Please check with your child’s advisor to be sure he or she is clear of the Obligations List. Extra forms can be picked up in the office.

BCS eLearning & Tradition School Transfer Information
Bryan County Schools will continue offering traditional and e-Learning school environments, January through May. Except for those students who have not met the e-Learning requirements, all students will remain in their present environments unless a transfer form (see below) is submitted online.
For those who want to transfer to a different learning environment, our open transfer window begins now and will remain open until midnight on Friday, November 6th. Please understand that approved transfers will not go into effect until January 6th.
Due to the possible large number of students changing environments, in January we could see significant class changes at the middle school and elementary school levels. You will be notified by December 18th, if your child(ren)’s classes are changed.
If you wish to transfer to a different environment, please click on the appropriate link below and complete the brief questionnaire. IMPORTANT: If you want your child(ren) to remain in their current learning environment no action is needed.

Health & Safety Reminders:
- If your student is not feeling well, please do NOT send them to school. With concurrent learning they have the opportunity to take advantage of the curriculum even when not present - they can log into their google meets.
- Face Coverings are to be worn at ALL times while on campus, when lunch is not being consumed.
- Congregation before/after school is strongly discouraged. If we want to maintain in-person schooling it is important that we ALL work together to make this happen.
- If your child is unable to attend school due to COVID-related symptoms please be sure to contact the school to speak with the nurse: (tparker@bryan.k12.ga.us or dfoster@bryan.k12.ga.us) - All attendance related notes should be submitted to Ms. Carolyn Oetjen via email at (coetjen@bryan.k12.ga.us)
- eLearners are expected to follow the same schedule and meet the same expectations regarding timely arrival, interactions, assignment completion, etc. as their in-person counterparts.

Senior Meetings
Counselors have now started senior meetings. Seniors are to schedule their own meetings with their counselor via pick-a-time. These will be held at various times of the day. Please keep in mind it is the senior who chooses the time and schedules their appointment. Seniors are responsible for remembering their scheduled appointment, and excusing themselves from class for the meeting. To avoid repeated interruptions, counselors will not be calling into classrooms for seniors to make their appointment. Click Here and reserve your time at the bottom left hand side of the webpage.
