Patriot Elementary School
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents,
On behalf of the staff at Patriot Elementary School, I am happy to welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year! We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.
Please consider joining our school volunteer program as our students can greatly benefit from your involvement and contributions to the school’s program and its operations. The volunteer form is posted on the website and we have copies in our office. Patriot offers volunteer opportunities for PTO, classroom assistance, special events, D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Schools-assist during recess), and much more.
Also, if you have any questions about Patriot’s expectations, please feel free to contact me or discuss them with your child’s teacher. It is very important that you and your child are fully informed regarding standards related to appropriate behavior for a safe and productive school year. Please feel free to review the Parent and Student Parent Handbook which can be accessed on our website under “Parents/Students” - https://www.ffc8.org/domain/272.
The wonderful Patriot staff and I feel privileged to be a part of this school family. We thank you for your support and look forward to an wonderful year together.
Kindly,
Michelle Canon

Safety Response Protocols
Dear Parents,
Please take the time to review the “Safety Response Protocols” implemented at Patriot Elementary. The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) is based not on individual scenarios but on the response to any given situation. The SRP is based on four actions: Lockout, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter. If you have any questions regarding the protocols, please also review the “Parent and Student Handbook” located on our website.
