Fishers Parks & Recreation Keeps Youth Active, Engaged and Exploring
Save the date, summer camp registration opens Monday, March 2
Let’s face it, planning for your children’s summer of fun can be an overwhelming process of researching camps, comparing options and registering everyone before camps fill! At Fishers Parks & Recreation, we strive to make the summer camp process as easy as possible. With convenient camp locations, affordable pricing and easy registration, parents love our camps as much as children do. Visit our Summer Camp Brochure to start planning ahead before registration opens on Monday, March 2.
This summer, we have 31 different camps for children ages three to thirteen years old. Camps offer opportunities to get active at Fishers parks, get engaged with games and activities and get exploring different topics with brand new friends. To ensure registration is a seamless process, we have a few tips. Check out the following suggestions to getting registered with ease:
- Visit the Summer Camp Brochure and plan a first, second and third choice. Camps fill quickly, but with a few options you’ll be able to get registered quickly!
- Complete the registration form before registration day – that includes indicating your child’s youth or adult t-shirt size.
- If registering online , create an account and/or verify your log in information before registration day. Sometimes this process can take a few days, so we recommend obtaining your log in and password as soon as possible.
Summer Camp registration can be completed online, via the U.S. Mail or in person at the Fishers Parks & Recreation office, located at 11565 Brooks School Road. If you’re registering in person, please arrive early and plan to wait in line! We will process registration as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience when registering at our office.
We look forward to getting all of the children in your life signed up on Monday, March 2!Grab a Few Friends, Lace Up Your Cleats & Prepare for Competition
Seasons are changing which means Sunday is no longer the laziest day of the week! Get outdoors, squeeze in some physical activity and find an excuse to hang out with your friends. Fishers Parks & Recreation’s spring softball league is back; inviting adults 18 and older to participate in six weeks of play with games taking place Sundays between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Gather your friends and create the dream team or contact Fishers Parks & Recreation to sign up as a free agent. Choose between three levels of recreation play, A being the highest , B being moderate and C being the lowest competition level to make the most out of your experience. Whether you’re playing to win or playing as a teambuilding activity, there’s something for everyone! Registration is due by March 27, and this league costs residents $409 and nonresidents $614. Residents is based on team captain who should plan to attend a mandatory captain meeting at the Roy G. Holland Memorial Park Building on Wednesday, April 8 from 6 until 7 p.m. There will not be games May 10 and 24 unless they are needed as rain make-up dates.
Fishers Parks & Recreation strives to host diverse programs that residents of all ages can enjoy. Register as an individual to meet some new friends, sign up with office mates to enjoy teambuilding, or get sign up to hang out with a few friends each week.
