LC Volunteer Sign Up for Februrary
We are excited to open a limited amount of spots for volunteers to come and shelve books in the LC! If you sign up for a specific day of the week you will be assigned that day for the remainder of the month. This is done to ensure volunteers are familiar with the procedures in the LC. A new sign-up will be sent out each month. Please follow this link to sign up if you are interested!
Thanks for your consideration,
Mrs. Golz, Mrs. Kopf, and Ms. Ellis
All volunteers must be fully vaccinated or submit a negative covid test to participate.
A few important points we wanted to emphasize regarding the requirements the district has in place for volunteers to be in the building during the school day.
- You must wear a mask while inside the building at all times.
- If you are fully vaccinated, please fill out the Volunteer Verification Form no later than January 28th. If you have already completed this for another H&S committee or if you volunteered during the Halloween or Winter parties, you do not need to do so again.
- If you are not fully vaccinated, you will need to submit a negative covid test each week. Please fill out the Volunteer Verification Form weekly with your updated test results.
For individuals who volunteer in schools, Naperville 203 requires diagnostic or antigen test results such as the RT-PCR (diagnostic) or Rapid Test (antigen). Antibody tests are not accepted.
Also, if it is your first time as a volunteer at Mill Street, you will need to bring in your Driver's License or State ID with you on the 1st day you volunteer to be entered into the Raptor system.
If you have any questions regarding the requirement, please email Melissa at millstreeths@gmail.com.

5 Essentials Survey - Please Complete!
As a parent or guardian of one or more students attending Naperville Community Unit School District 203, your feedback is requested via participation in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey.
The purpose of this online survey is to understand parent/guardian perceptions in the areas of connectedness, satisfaction, interaction, involvement, and quality.
Your participation and ratings on this survey are confidential; the district will only receive school level results if at least 20% of parents/guardians participate.
The results of this survey will be used to understand areas of strength and challenge at the district and school level based on your input and feedback.
Families with students attending more than one school are asked to complete the survey for each school individually.
To access the survey, please click here https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/ and select “Dupage” as the County.
Lastly, please complete this survey by Friday, March 11, 2022, and thank you for your participation.

Assistant Superintendent for Assessment and Accountability

New Online Student Absence Reporting Option
- Open the Infinite Campus Parent Portal app or use this link to log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
- Select "More" from the left-hand navigation menu, and then choose "Absence Request."
- Choose the appropriate student(s), the reason for their absence, their absence type, the date(s) of their absence and any additional comments you would like to share.
- Your submitted absence request(s) will appear on the next screen as "Pending." When the request has been approved, the status will change to "Processed."
- You can change/delete requests while they are "Pending," but once they are "Processed" a parent/guardian must contact their child's school to make a change.
You can also visit the Mill Street website, hover your mouse over "Our School' in the top navigation menu and select "Contact Us." Then, on the left-side navigation menu, select "Reporting an Absence."

School Reminders
If your student is being picked up for an appointment or your student is leaving school early for the day...please email their teacher and notify them of the pick-up time and if your student will or will not be returning to school that day. It is important the teacher knows the students schedule so they can plan accordingly. Please bring an ID with you if you're signing a student out early or leaving for an appointment. Thank you.
If your student is sick or will be absent, please report the absence via Infinite Campus or call the health office at (630) 420-6355 and speak to Mrs. Robinson. You may leave a voicemail if calling outside of school hours.
Lost and Found
The lost and found table is located across from the MPR, near the gym. We clear the table once a month and donate all items that are not claimed. Thank you!
Reminder: Parents, please label your students items such as jackets, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc. If your item is labeled correctly, we can return it to your student properly. Thank you in advance for your help with this.

Mill Street Home & School
As parents of Mill Street Students, we encourage and facilitate a cooperative partnership among our students, parents/guardians, and school staff and administration to support and enhance the school experience of each student. H&S is our school’s version of a PTO or PTA, except there are no dues--just an open invitation to stay informed and get involved at whatever level you can.
