What you need to know for the year
What You'll Find
This syllabus will state what class supplies are necessary for the course; how the grade will be determined; and general rules for the class
Formative Assignments
Formative assignments make up 40% of your six weeks grade. Formative assignments include journal checks, homework, quizzes, and writing assignments.
Summative Assignments
Summative assignments make up 60% of your six weeks grade. Your summative assignments will be exams. Exams may be multiple choice, free response, or a combination of the two.
Semester Exams
There will be two cumulative semester exams at the end of the fall and spring semester.
Here are the items that are required for AQR
- Notebook used only for AQR (graph preferred)
- Pencils or pens (pencils preferred)
- Graphing Calculator; TI 83 or TI 84 recommended
- Sanitizing wipes
Phone Policy
Phones are allowed in the classroom, but students are expected to put phones away when given direct instruction. Phone use is appropriate specifically as a research tool during work time.
Water Policy
Water in clear water bottles are welcome to class. No food or other beverages permitted.
Absent
Any time you are absent, it is up to you to inquire about work missed. If you know about the absence in advance, come talk to me.
