February Challenge Recruiting new Host Families and PLacing Students for 2016-17!
Area Rep's Lets Go, Reach a Goal to Place 2-3 Students each before June 1st!
As we coast into mid year it is a great time to get out and recruit new host families in your areas. Post to your Facebook page, contact your local newspapers, and local radio stations to advertise your need for new host families who will welcome our new students in 2016-17 into their homes with open arms! Reach out to schools, churches, libraries and community groups. Showcase your students, have them create a story of their experience as an exchange student this school year, share their stories , have them present their native language, the reason they like American way of life, etc. be creative! We have over 75 students in our ASSE website and in the database in every region to choose students from to place with old and new host families for the upcoming year, become familiar with our incoming students who are anxious to arrive here and meet their host families! Aim for a personal goal of placing 3 students each by June 1st and be ready to receive wonderful bonuses while giving our students a reason to smile here in America :)
