Global Video Game Designers
A Makercamp at the Oak Grove Elementary Makerspace
July 31 - August 4, 2017
Global Video Game Designers Camp
Video Game Design + Coding + Global Citizenship = Amazing Experience
Students will not just play a game, they MAKE the game! In this course, students will create games and animations and even remix what others have done! By learning "Scratch," they'll get to impress parents and friends with their cool creations. They will co-design a video game with their Global Partner (located in a different country) and also learn about each other's culture through the exchange of video messages. Students will be learning math, logic, coding and presentation skills too!! Open to rising 3rd-6th graders.

Afternoon Summer Makercamp
We will be offering an afternoon Summer MakerCamp from 11:30-3:30 for students in the Level Up Village Program. It will be very open-ended and directed by the student Makers. We will have access to a variety of tools and materials, but what we MAKE will be up to them! Here are a few ways they might MAKE!
Building, sewing, movie making, robotics, tinkering, jewelry making, electronics, papercrafting, Little Bits, woodworking, 3D printing, outside STEM, and more!
We can't wait to see what our group of makers will create!
