Fair School's LMC Newsletter v. 2
Library This 'N That
- THANK YOU, MRS. JOHNSON! The fabulous Lily will be retiring and leaving us as of January 15th. She has been a lifesaver to me, as a newbie here at FAIR, and also to many of you each and everyday! Please remember to stop in and wish her well this week! She'll be missed!
- Beep...Beep...Beep: Did you hear Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Braun beeping away with scanners and laptops on carts during December when you visited the library? We completed inventory and have officially deleted all of the books that were lost from the grade level libraries. This means that when students look for books the books listed are actually the books that are here in the library media center! YAY!
- Next Steps: The next big projects for the LMC are weeding some of the older books out, correcting some books that should be in different genres and training in Mrs. Johnson's replacement. (Please be patient with us!)

View Google Calendar In Gmail
View your Google calendar as a Gadget in the Gmail window. It makes for a quick view and less going back and forth between tabs.
Newsela
Doodle
Doodle is pretty awesome...it creates a quick survey that allows folks to respond when they are free. My bookclub uses this regularly!
Google calendar will also do a "find a time" feature for meetings, but this site works great if not everyone uses Gmail.
