C-Type- carbon most common
M-Type- metal- mostly iron rare
S-Type- silicon reflects light
Comets
Nucleus- frozen center. ice, gas, dust- very small
Coma- roughly spherical blob
Dust Tail-composed of dust. fades away from the sun
Ion tail- charged gas, faces away from the sun
