How mudslides happen and protection
Heavy rainfall soaks into the ground and makes it very damp and non stable ground. There is no "season for mudslides". They can happen at anytime with little or no warning. The cause is a lot of rain and moist soft ground. Precautions to take are during long periods of rain listen for rumbling sounds. And look into the history of your town to see if there's a history of mudslides. And if one happens try to make it to high ground.
