Book Club and Teen Advisory Group

Just a reminder that Teen Advisory Group (TAG) and Teen Book Club will meet Wednesday, the 2nd, at 4:30 pm here at the library. Teen Book Club will be discussing the book "Life as We Knew it" and will be receiving their copy of "Girl, Stolen". TAG will be discussing the possibility of extending book club all year round and also ideas for a possible maker space here in the library.

For those of you who have not heard of Teen Advisory Group (TAG) or Teen Book Club all teens from 6th grade to 12th grade are welcome to join. Both groups meet on the first Wednesday of every month here in the library from 4:30 to 5:30. TAG is a group of teens that gather to suggest books to order, programming they would like to attend and basically tell us what would make the library a place teens would like to come to. Teen Book Club members receive a free book of the month to read and then discuss as a group the next month. Its not for a grade, you do not have to read out loud, there are no right or wrong answers. We just simply talk about what each one of us thought about the book and what we did and didn't like about it. If you have and questions or would like to join you can call the library 432-758-4007 or come by the library and I would be more than happy to answer any of your questions.
